Academic libraries need to establish conditions for researchers to be able to

Supporting researchers to comply with Plan S is crucial!

Upskilling librarians for Plan S support is needed

Plan S compliant institutional repositories (MANAGE)

Library publishing of diamond OA journals (MANAGE OJS)

Disrupting the subscription journals’ business model for the necessary large-scale transformation to open access, Max Planck Digital Library White Paper, 2015

Additional money needed? No!

(5)

Plan S Principles can be observed by all researchers from the university

Irregardless of the funder (Plan S, non-Plan S), in non- funded research, without institutional OA policies

Less variety in OA decisions (= LESS OA WORKFLOWS) will ease OA support by academic libraries

Researchers disadvantaged if Plan S support not adequate
