Kratka vsebina

Bazični vulkani ti in piroklastiti zgornjega dela ladinske vulkanogene serije na Cerkljanskem in Šebreljskem leže na kislih vulkanskih kame- ninah. Njihova krovnina na Cerkljanskem so psevdoziljske plasti, na Šebreljskem pa cordevolski diploporni dolomit karnijske stopnje. Psevdo- ziljske plasti na Cerkljanskem so torej bočni ekvivalent diplopornega dolomita in zato karnijske starosti.

Abstract

Basic volcanic and pyroclastic rocks in the Cerkno—Šebrelje region are underlain by an acid volcanic series. Their hanging wall is, however, different; at Trebenče and Novaki in the Cerkno region it consists of Pseudozilian graywacke and black clayey shale intercalated with reef limestone devoid of fossils. On the other hand a milky dolomite occurs at Šebrelje. The stratigraphic position of the latter is well defined by Diplopora annulata Schafhautl indicating the Cordevol substage of Car- nian stage. Hence follows, that the Pseudozilian beds at Cerkno and Diplopora-dolomite from Šebrelje are equivalent in time. The basic vol- canic series from the Cerkno-Šebrelje region is easily recognizable and its top is designed to be a key horizon.

Zaporedje srednjetriadnih in zgornjetriadnih plasti, interpretirano v delih B. Berceta (1962, sl. 2), K. Grada in sodel. (1976) in S. Buserja (1979, fig. l/III) ne ustreza razvoju ladinskih in karnijskih plasti na Cerkljan- skem (sl. 1). Tu leže na anizičnem dolomitu z vrsto Meandrospira dinarica Kochansky-Devide et Pantič keratofir, porfir in piroklastiti kisle sestave (sl.

2a). V zgornjem delu vulkanogene serije pa slede kislim vulkanitom bazični

— diabaz in spilit — in njihovi tufi. Med kislimi in bazičnimi piroklastiti se nahajajo ponekod leče sivega debeloskladovitega ali lepo plastovitega laminira- nega apnenca. Na diabazovem tufu leži na območju Trebenč in Novakov zapo- redje sivkasto zelenega drobnika in črnega glinastega skrilavca z nekaj lečami temno sivega grebenskega apnenca. Dosedanji raziskovalci so šteli to zaporedje

med psevdoziljske plasti ladinske (B. Berce, 1962), ali ladinsko-karnijske starosti (K. Grad, 1976; S. Buser, 1979). Njihova krovnina so amphi- klinske plasti zgornjekarnijske starosti (H. Fliigel, A. Ramovš, 1970).

V kislih in bazičnih srednje zrnatih in debelo zrnatih klastitih ni pričakovati fosilov. Mikropaleontološke in konodontne raziskave laminiranega in greben- skega apnenca niso bile uspešne in enako velja za palinološke raziskave črnega skrilavca.

Tudi na območju Sebrelj in Stopnika leže bazični vulkaniti in piroklastiti na kislih vulkanogenih kameninah, krovnina pa je tod mlečno beli dolomit z algo Diplopora annulata Schafhautl (sl. 2b).

Primerjava obeh razvojev prinaša zanimivo rešitev problema starosti spod- njega dela psevdoziljskih plasti na Cerkljanskem. V coni Sebrelje—Stopnik—- Ravne—Cerkno—Škofje—Robidensko brdo, dolgi okrog 15 km in široki 5 km, torej na površini okrog 75 km2, imamo lahko magmatsko dejavnost, ki je dala bazične vulkanite in ustrezne piroklastite, za istočasno. Zgornjo mejo sedimen- tacije diabazovega tufa pa lahko obravnavamo kot reperni-izohroni horizont.

Na tej podlagi sledi sklep, da je spodnji del psevdoziljskih skladov na Cerk- ljanskem časovni bočni ekvivalent belega zrnatega cordevolskega dolomita in zato karnijske starosti.
