EXTENDED ABSTRACT

Main characteristic parts of Decontamination, Decommission and Reutilization.

The legislation, which concerns about DD&R programme, is in key parts completely approximated with legislation of IAEA, United States and European Community.

The legislative system is secured on the levels of bills Acts, Public notes international contracts and treaties, recomen.... .us and norms. Main acts which are dealing with securing/handling with Radioactive equiputnents are: Atomic Act, Acts which resulates securing of Nuclear, radiation, classic and technical security. The act also covers regulates defence health of workers, inhabitants against ionic rays including the system for superintending and protection of environment.

International treaties regulates the cooperation and supervising of implementation and comply recommendations of international organisations. Norms secures the technical Safety and quality according to the standards (ISO 9000).

Execution and control of legislation are realised through state some enterprise organs up to level of commissions, inspectors, attestation, certification with randomised and periodical inspection.

To the legislation are systemically implemented new trends, experience, recommendation including those international.

The documentation for DD&R is processed on the level of security studies, projects, legislative, (production) processing, operational, trade and economical documentations it is approved and evaluated on the levels of customer, elective commissional actions (tenders) up to supervising authorities.

Documentation is in paper form, but in the last 5 years is processed in digitalised form (MS WORD, CAD/CAM etc.). Nowadays, the documentation is (being) processed in 3 – dimensional form and is starting the process of 3D – laser scan, or gamma camera and also in virtual reality. We continues with building databases for valuation and inventory equipments and technologies for DD&R. Trade and economical documentation is processed on some specialised economical PC programs such as SAP, NUNTIO.

The decommissioning NPPA-1 is in the state between decommission and the state 1-2-3 according the classification IAEA. Some od the auxiliary (constructions) buildings are decommissed on the green field (meadow). Turbine building is in the stage 2 according international qualification, but it is used for processing and storage radioactive waste. The full amount of radioactive waste from nuclear reactor was transported to the Russia, and semiprocessed liquid nuclear waste was relocated from the poke spend fuel and some middle radioactive waste.

Decontamination is made on the equipment which was installed during construction, active life of NPP, decommissioning. The main methods of decomtaminationale: mechanical, chemical, electrochemical, supersound and filtration with cooperation with British firm AEA Technology was decontaminated reactor hall with help of manipulator and system KELLY.

The transportation of Radioactive materials is (tone) realised by transfer and containers in the area of NPP. The transport containers with radioactive waste, radioactive materials from blocks A-1, V-1, V-2 in outdoor area including roaring countries especially to Russia.

The processing of radioactive waste is performed on equipment which is located in every NPP and (specific) special processing center in Jaslovské Bohunice. The processing is made upon these following technologies:

separation, Evaporation, bituminization, cementation, high pressure pressing, fragmentation, incenevator. In experimental units ave used these technologies: bitumization, vitrification, cementation. Radioactive waste is packed to 200 – steel avums and concrete ....

storage radioactive waste is located in the area of NPP. The temporary storage is reconstructed for containers castor, which enables storing of fullamount spend fuel during the whose projected life period all block of NPP.

in the final stage of completion is the regional repository for low level active waste in Mochovce NPP. Deep repository for high level active waste is in the stage of finding suitable locality and the deep laboratory.

Conclusion:

The first nuclear power plant were developed in the 1950s in the world. Nowadays, one reactor is in liquidation, 5 reactors Russian type WWER-440 are (functioning) in operation.
