5.3 VOŽNJA Z E-SKIROJEM

6.3.4 Izgradnja infrastrukture

Večina nezgod z e-skiroji se sicer zgodi brez trčenja, vendar večkrat prihaja tudi do trčenja s kolesarji, pešci in motornimi vozili (25). Razlog je sorazmerno velika potovalna hitrost in majhnost e-skirojev, ki se zaradi tega lahko uporabljajo na različnih vrstah prometne infrastrukture (44).

Zaenkrat še ni povsem jasno, kakšna infrastruktura bi bila najprimernejša za e-skiroje in hkrati varna tudi za druge uporabnike, vsekakor je treba upoštevati tako tveganje za nastanek nezgod kot tudi resnost poškodb pri vseh uporabnikih (24). Vozniki e-skirojev se npr. na cesti ne počutijo varne zaradi večje hitrosti motornih vozil, poleg tega se na cesti tudi resneje poškodujejo, kar kaže na potrebo po ločeni infrastrukturi, ki bi bila varna za voznike e-skirojev (24). Po drugi strani pa je v nezgodah na pločniku resnost poškodb voznikov e-skirojev majhna, vendar skupna uporaba pločnika s počasnejšimi pešci vodi v povečano tveganje za nezgode in je potencialno nevarna predvsem za pešce (13, 24).

Vozniki e-skirojev se najraje vozijo po kolesarskih pasovih (45), kjer se tudi manj pogosto poškodujejo (12, 23, 24), zato bi k boljši varnosti e-skirojev pripomogla izgradnja oz. prilagoditev kolesarske infrastrukture (46, 47).

Vendar tudi na kolesarskih pasovih prihaja do trčenj z navadnimi kolesarji (20), zato nekateri strokovnjaki priporočajo omejitev vožnje z e-skiroji na namenske steze za e-osebna prevozna sredstva, kjer bi vozniki e-skirojev vozili z enako hitrostjo kot drugi uporabniki (12, 13, 36).
