Most of the indoor living walls need artificial lighting. For close lighting small reflectors can be used. Reflectors must be high-pressure sodium lamps with a daylight spectrum, or metal halide reflectors. Both lights emit light from 350 to 700 nm. Artificial light can provide between 500 and 2200 lux on average. New developments in LED technology promise new approaches to artificial lighting in the future.
